What is a dental filling?

• Composite resin filling: tooth-coloured fillings bonded directly to your tooth. These can be used for teeth anywhere in the mouth but are favoured for the teeth visible when you smile.
• Glass ionomer filling: tooth-coloured fillings generally used for decay at gum line level. Glass ionomer fillings contain fluoride, which is released slowly into the tooth, which can help to prevent future cavities.

How much is a dental filling?

Generally, front teeth fillings cost a little more than back teeth fillings, as they are generally considered more cosmetic and therefore, more time-consuming to make to achieve a natural look.
