Whether you want to replace missing teeth with dental implants or fill unsightly gaps with veneers, our dentists will tailor a specific treatment plan just for you so that your smile can be as perfect as possible.

What is a smile makeover?

A smile makeover may involve several treatments or procedures. We recommend a smile makeover to fix dental issues you have had since childhood or as an adult. A smile makeover can also be used to improve your smile’s appearance and boost your confidence. The most common dentistry treatments combined with a smile makeover are tooth whitening, Invisalign®  braces, dental implants, veneers and more.

All of these treatments are available at Sky Dental Clinic in Bexleyheath.

Smile makeover process

  • Full oral examination – To ensure that your teeth and gums are healthy.
  • Impressions – Impressions will be made of your teeth and the changes that will be made before you go ahead with your new smile.
  • Preparation – The dentist will prepare your teeth and make temporary veneers or crowns to see the result and have a test run whilst wearing it and make any necessary changes.
  • Fitting – After you have been through these stages and are happy with your new smile, the temporary veneers or crowns will be removed and replaced with permanent porcelain ones.

What affects your smile?

Yellow teeth stains

Plaque and discolouration are very common issues with external teeth stains caused by drinks like tea, coffee and red wine. You can’t completely remove extrinsic staining, but you can reduce it considerably through a range of treatments, including professional teeth whitening. Sky Dental Clinic in Bexleyheath has years of knowledge in providing high-quality white-toothed smiles to its patients.

Crooked teeth (Malocclusion)

A bad bite can happen when your teeth don’t meet correctly, either because they are out of place or too crowded. This may mean that it’s difficult to chew food or that you feel uncomfortable when you smile or laugh. If a child has an incorrect bite, they may also find it hard to pronounce certain sounds. Malocclusion can be treated in children by realigning their teeth using braces, and adult patients usually need dentures or some other form of treatment for any dental issues.

Chipped and cracked teeth

Any type of temporary or long-term tooth deterioration can cause teeth to be chipped, cracked, or fractured. A common reason for tooth chipping without apparent cause is poor oral hygiene. Cavities and decay lead to weakened enamel and damaged tooth structure. Cracked teeth, if not addressed, can lead to a nerve’s death, and an abscess could form, requiring root canal therapy or an extraction. If it gets too severe, the tooth can split in two. In that case, your dentist will be unable to save it, and you will need to have it taken out. If you have more serious issues like large gaps between your teeth or severely worn enamel, we can provide those solutions too.

Why should I restore my teeth?

Restoring a damaged tooth can prevent more harm and decay by retaining the parts of the tooth that are healthy. Cavities, chips, and cracks can be repaired to relieve pain and make eating and drinking more comfortable. A visit to the dentist can help you to take better care of your teeth – the options are to have fillings, crowns, or veneers. We can help you decide which treatment is best for you.
